Fianna Fáil is calling on the Taoiseach and the Minister for Environment to announce whether they agree with the Ministers' statement.
FF Spokesperson on Environment, Barry Cowen, TD, said the bonuses are "completely unacceptable".

He said: "The Government is happy to wring its hands and simply blame management at Irish Water.
"Comments from Minister Damien English on radio this morning stating it was acceptable for bonuses to be paid out will have angered thousands of families throughout the county who have watched this whole expensive charade unfold and who are going to pick up the tab through unfair water charges next January.
"Is it now Government policy to support this gold-plated bonus driven culture at Irish Water? The silence from the Taoiseach and Minister Alan Kelly has been deafening. They need to confirm whether or not Minister English reflects their views on this issue?"
