The funding, from the Department for Social Development, will go towards new lighting, signs, seats and bins along the main avenue to St Columb's Park House.

The paths throughout the park will also be upgraded and the fence around the helicopter pads will be removed to open up the space in the park and the environs of St Columb's Park House.
In addition, the allotments in St Columb's will benefit from a new perimeter fence and an upgraded access path.
