Michael Maher Contracting & Repairs Ltd. was set up in 1991 by Michael Maher. The company was originally founded as an agricultural contracting company and in the last 15 years has moved towards more and more construction-based work while continuing to carry out agricultural work. We specialize in groundwork and civil engineering and have worked for numerous large companies including Murphy International, J Murphy & Sons, BAM Building, BAM Civil, Clancy Project Management, JJ Rhatigan, Stryker, Irish Water, and Limerick, Tipperary and Clare local authorities.

We are a family run business who employ up to 50 people. Paudie Maher is a civil engineer by trade and oversees the running of the company on a daily basis.

Our company has over 20 years’ experience and our trained operatives have been working in construction for decades. Over our twenty years, we have worked with some of Ireland’s largest companies such as Clancy Construction, BAM, JJ Rhatigans, Alber Homes, TLI Group, Irish Water and various local authorities.

In those 20 years, we have undertaken all kinds of groundworks and civil engineering projects such as Gleann Fia Housing Development, Castle brook Manor Housing Development, Bandon Road Student Accommodation, Westbury Pump Station, CUH Surgical Hub, UHL Courtyard Ward Project Limerick and more. We also specialise in land and lawn drainage.

AGRICULTURE
Michael Maher purchased his first round baler in 1989, a Class Rollant 44 and to this present day has gone on to run over 30 Class round balers. At present we run a McHale Fusion as well 3 Class round balers. We have a large customer base and make approximately 30,000 round bales a year. All of our equipment is well maintained and in excellent condition.
