Contractors Win Convent School Commission

A two-storey extension to a school in Co Roscommon in pressing ahead with news that the mechanical and electrical sub-contractors have now been appointed for the works involved in the €3.5m school project.

The extension is being constructed at Scoil Mhuire, Convent of Mercy, Lisroyne, Strokestown and will comprise classrooms, laboratories, workshops, ancillary accommodation and a detached physical education hall.

Main construction work is currently progressing on site with the contract period estimated at 12 months.

The architect is Rhatigan and Company and the electrical subcontractor is Durkin Bros.

The mechanical subcontractor is Dominic O'Connor Ltd and the main contractor is Cordil Construction.
