After numerous complaints in recent years, Sligo County Council has announced the contractor is almost finished the major upgrade programme in Grange village.
The work was being carried out during the school holidays to minimise disruption to local traffic.
The contractor called to local businesses a number of weeks in advance of the work to advise on the work programme.
While the work was expected to continue until the end of September, the contractor has advised the Council that he expects the work to be substantially completed during week commencing 27th August.
The Council has made every effort to minimise inconvenience to motorists and the people of Grange, and will continue to do for the remainder of the contract.
