Regional Development Minister, Danny Kennedy, has announced the start of a £70,000 carriageway improvement scheme on the B48 Lisnarragh Road, Plumbridge.
The work is due to begin on 12 August at a location known locally as Devine's Memorial corner on the B48 between Plumbridge and Donemana.
The Minister said: "This scheme will greatly improve the road safety for all users by widening the carriageway and providing grass verges to improve the forward sight distance on this localised stretch of road."
To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public the majority of this work is programmed to be completed using a traffic control system starting on 12 August and continuing until 20 September 2013. During this period controlled two-way traffic flow will be maintained.
The scheme is expected to be substantially complete by the end of September 2013.
