Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has welcomed the near completion of a £220,000 major resurfacing scheme on the Spout Road in Strabane.
Asphalt resurfacing is being laid on a section of Spout Road from a location 400 metres east of Strabane town boundary for a distance of 1.8 kilometres going east on the B536 in the direction of Plumbridge.
The Minister said: "This scheme will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the carriageway on this route between Strabane and Plumbridge."
The works, which started this week, are progressing well and are expected to be substantially completed by 8th September 2013.
