£380,000 To Be Invested In A2 Scheme

Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced a £380,000 investment scheme to resurface 3.2km of the A2 Garron Road, Carnlough.

Mr Kennedy said: "The much anticipated Giro D'Italia has chosen the A2 Antrim Coast Road as one of its key stages and this illustrates its importance in terms of tourism growth within Northern Ireland. My Department remains committed to playing our part in its continued maintenance and development."

Work is scheduled to start on Tuesday 18 March and, weather permitting, will be completed within two weeks. To help ensure the safety of the road user and contractors, road closures will be necessary.
