Work On Road Improvement Project In Co Tyrone To Begin

Work on a £120,000 road improvement scheme in County Tyrone is to begin on Monday, 28 February.

The project, on the B83 Old Monaghan Road between Clogher and Monaghan, will include localised road widening to improve visibility for motorists. It will also include verge widening to facilitate the erection of warning signs and a vehicle restraint system on one side of the road.

To help ensure the safety of road users and those carrying out the works, a temporary road closure for through traffic is required on the Old Monaghan Road from its junction with U1418 Old Monaghan Road to its junction with U1422 Shanco Road. The closure will last for seven weeks and will run from Monday, 27 February to Friday, 14 April.

Vehicles requiring access to lands or premises abutting the closed length of road will be accommodated.

A diversion route will be in place along the A4 through Clogher, A5 through Aughnacloy, N2 through Emyvale, R135, North Road, Dawson Street and the N54 and vice versa.
