Engineers Ireland is searching for a number of individuals to form part of its two new panels of experts.
The body is developing a OPW Voluntary Homeowners Relocation Scheme, in which experts will consider any appeals received against decisions taken by the Commissioners following Stage 2 of the Voluntary Homeowners Relocation Scheme process.
The second panel, DHPLG/NSAI : IS 465 –, will undertake the assessment, testing and categorisation of damaged buildings incorporating concrete blocks containing certain deleterious materials' as set out in SI 465:2018. This work will take place in properties in Mayo and Donegal.
Applicants for both panels must be a Chartered Member of Engineers Ireland, have a minimum of 20 years of post-graduate experience in the relevant area and have excellent reasoning skills and be able to make clear, logical judgements taking into account all available evidence.
