BAM Ireland has boosted its business opportunities in the region after acquiring a non-controlling share in modular homes provider Modern Homes Ireland (MHI).

MHI constructs quality assured steel-framed homes and commercial buildings within a precision-controlled environment.

The strategic move will maximise business deals for MHI across Ireland, and recognises a commitment to the use of modular construction for housing, student accommodation and hotels.

This will help both businesses accelerate home building activity in social housing and PPP contracts as well as in private developments in large population centres.

The investment will also allow MHI to increase production capacity in its Ballyjamesduff base.
