Road Works Announced In Carrickfergus

A series of road works is set to take place in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, starting next week.

This £104,000 scheme will see a 240-metre section of Northland resurfaced from the North Road junction towards Pinewood Avenue.

Work will begin on Monday 22 July and run until Friday 23 August.

A lane closure will be implemented from 22 July to 02 August from 7am until 6pm. This will be followed by a full road closure from 05-13 August between the same hours.

Access for residents will be facilitated and a two-way diversion will be in operation via North Road – Bridewell Drive – Sunnylands Avenue.

Drivers should expect some delays and are advised to allow additional time when travelling in the area.
