Social Housing Scheme Moves Forward In Kilkenny

The construction of 22 new social homes is moving forward in Ballyragget, Co Kilkenny.

Laois-based contractor Thomas Kelly and Sons Ltd has been appointed to deliver the scheme at Station Avenue.

It will comprise of 6 one-bed units, 10 two-bed units, 4 three-bed houses and 2 four-bed houses.

Kilkenny County Council is leading the project, with a design team comprised of CJ Falconer & Associates Architects (Architects), David Kelly Partnership (Civil & Structural Engineers), Douglas Carroll Consulting Engineers (Mechanical & Electrical Engineers) and Nolan Construction Consultants (Quantity Surveyors).

The development is funded by the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government under the Rebuilding Ireland Programme.

Construction is expected to commence shortly ahead of scheduled completion in late 2020.
