Students Welcomed To Erskine House Development In Belfast

Construction News Image
Local students have been given an exclusive insight into the interior fit-out at Belfast's Erskine House development.

Contractor GRAHAM hosted an open day at the site, welcoming 30 students from Ulster University and Belfast Metropolitan College to the new eight storey building.

Located in Belfast city centre, the development is now at the fit out stage, with GRAHAM's fit-out team delivering a CAT A standard office fit-out, and the full landlord fit-out of the core and ancillary areas.

Works to the property, located on the boundary of Arthur Street and Chichester Street, are expected to be finalised at the end of the year.

Members of the GRAHAM digital construction team were also on hand to demonstrate how digital technology has informed and shaped the scheme from design, through to construction and fit-out.

Recent GRAHAM Academy students then passed on stories of their own personal journeys in the construction industry, and how GRAHAM has supported them throughout their careers.

Discussing the event, Mark Gibson, Managing Director – GRAHAM Interior Fit-Out, said: "It was a privilege for us to welcome the students to our Erskine House development. GRAHAM has a strong tradition of attracting the brightest talent and we continue to recruit and develop the best people in the industry. Our commitment to supporting the next generation of construction professionals is reflected in our sponsorship of the highest performing student at Ulster University this year. Many of our team, including Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors, have worked their way up through the ranks with us, and they are now enjoying rewarding careers with a nationally leading fit-out company.

"As Managing Director of GRAHAM Interior Fit-Out, the open day was also the perfect opportunity to showcase exactly what fit-out entails, and to demonstrate the variety of roles available in this fast-paced, exciting strand of the construction industry. I hope the day has provided the students with inspiration to consider a career within interior fit-out."
