Sisk Prepares For Inaugural UKREiiF Event

Construction News Image
Irish-based construction firm John Sisk & Son is getting ready to take part in the inaugural UKREiiF event in May.

The contractor will be one of thousands of confirmed attendees from across the industry present at the sold-out Leeds event. As well as exhibiting its business at the event, it will also be presenting the 'Developer of the Year' award at the prestigious UKREiiF Awards.

Alan Rodger, Managing Director at Sisk, said: "We are delighted to be a key partner to the UKREiiF Conference. It's great news that a national conference of this magnitude is taking place in the north of England and bringing our industry together. Across the North of England Sisk's projects include major city regeneration, strategic infrastructure, leisure, residential, transport hubs, life sciences, commercial and hotel buildings. Working with clients such as Bruntwood, Leeds City Council, York City Council, Homes England, Manchester City Council, Peel, Manchester Life, Hub Group and GSK. In Yorkshire our Construction and Civil Engineering businesses are ever more integrated with a further £250M of secured pipeline, operating from our central Leeds office and on our operational sites in Leeds and York.

"We look forward to engaging with existing and new clients across regional authorities, government departments, plus leading private sector developers and investment firms. We are also anticipating more announcements on the government budget and the levelling up regeneration agenda. There is motivation and action from national developers to get involved in the regions and help drive regeneration forward. With a keen eye on placemaking, but also on driving net zero carbon assets, delivering higher levels of social value and ROI back into local business, jobs and education. With the back drop of the world events and challenges around supply and inflation it's as important as ever for conversations about how contractors, consultants, clients and supply chain can work closer together to create developments that are real and deliverable: appreciating the benefits of early engagement and appointments directly through frameworks."

Amanda Griffiths, Director at UKREiiF, added: "As a family-owned business ourselves, we're proud to welcome onboard Sisk and fully back their values of Care, Integrity and Excellence, which merge synonymously with UKREiiF's key themes – both forming sturdy foundations for our overalls aims of instigating iconic building projects within the UK. We're delighted to have such a major name involved and we look forward to working with Sisk."

Led by property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the first annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 17-19 May 2022. The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
