Resurfacing Works Progress In Armagh Village

A programme of resurfacing work is progressing well in the County Armagh village of Loughgilly.

Traffic restrictions have been announced to facilitate the completion of improvements on the A28 Armagh Road.

A lane closure under traffic signals will be in operation on Saturday 01 April 2023 from 8am - 7pm with a full closure required for Sunday 02 April from 8am - 7pm. The road will be open to traffic outside of these times and local access to businesses will be maintained.

Traffic travelling toward Newry (Southbound) will be diverted via the B133 Bessbrook Road, Mountnorris, Bessbrook and A25 Camlough Road, with traffic travelling towards Armagh (Northbound) via the A28 Gosford Road, Poyntzpass, Tandragee and Markethill. The weekday lane closures under traffic signal control will continue to operate until completion of the works which is anticipated to be by Tuesday 04 April.
