Step Forward For New Belturbet Tourism Hub

The development of a community, enterprise, and tourism hub in Belturbet has taken a key step forward.

Cavan County Council is commencing the preparation of a feasibility study for the provision of the hub and will prepare a masterplan for the future development of the Belturbet Heritage Railway complex.

The purpose of the Masterplan is to identify suitable locations for a proposed community, enterprise, and tourism hub, as well as create a plan for the future of the Belturbet Heritage Railway complex.

The Masterplan is at an early stage and an important part of the plan preparation is engagement with the local community and property owners/tenants.

Cavan County Council is holding a public consultation evening on the Belturbet Masterplan Project in the Town Hall Civic Centre, on the evening of Wednesday 19 April 2023, from 6pm to 8pm. A questionnaire will be available at the public consultation.
