Clough's Play Park Reopens After Refurbishment Works

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has announced that the newly refurbished play park in Clough has opened.

The new play park's design was designed through a thorough community consultation, ensuring it caters excellently to children of all abilities. Aimed to create an inclusive and accessible space, the project has transformed the park into a vibrant and exciting playground for children of all ages. The play park has a range of exciting new equipment and play structures such as swings, slides, climbing frames plus much more.

Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Alderman Gerardine Mulvenna, said: "It is great to see the completion of this work – such an amazing resource for the local community! This play park has been refurbished as part of the Council’s Play Investment Framework and Out to Play Strategy which aims to create a more inclusive and accessible space for all. This strategy and ongoing investment demonstrates the importance placed on play throughout the Borough.

"I am particularly delighted to see that there is a greater emphasis on ease of access and inclusivity. This play park will ensure future generations of children can come together to play and have fun!"
