Over £21,000 was raised at a charity ball hosted by Farrans Sacyr Joint Venture (FS JV), which celebrated the people who have been involved in the construction of Belfast Grand Central Station.
NI Air Ambulance, Marie Curie, NI Chest, Heart and Stroke and Cystic Fibrosis Trust were the nominated charities that are set to receive donations.
Northern Ireland-based company Farrans paired up with Spanish infrastructure operator Sacyr, alongside Translink, to deliver the NI Executive flagship project which was completed last month.
A celebratory black-tie event was arranged together with the wider project team of Babcock, Graham and Translink, beginning at the new station, before a chartered train transported everyone to the historic setting of the Ulster Transport Museum.
Nearly £5,000 was donated as part of the raffle held on the night of the event. Fundraising from this event has brought the total amount of donations made by FS JV as part of this project to £62,000.
