Construction firm GRAHAM recently welcomed students from the Royal Society of Ulster Architects’ (RSUA) Professional Insight Programme (PIP) to its Down High School site, offering them a first-hand look at the construction industry in action.
The visit, organised in collaboration with the Education Authority, aimed to support the development of future architects. The participating students, currently in their second year of studies at Queen's University Belfast and Ulster University’s Schools of Architecture, had the opportunity to engage with industry professionals and gain practical insights into their field.
The initiative received high praise from the Education Authority, with Glenda Hall, Head of Service-Minor Capital Delivery Infrastructure and Capital Development, said: "We really appreciated the collective support from your staff when we visited the site. Despite their busy day jobs the teams from Graham and McAdam Design, enthusiastically explained the project to the students and their enthusiasm for construction helped us inspire the next generation, showing the students in such a positive way what the ‘face’ of construction really looks like."
