Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has introduced a DIY/Technical Assistance Fund to help community and voluntary groups improve their facilities.
Grants of up to £1,500 are available to:
• Refresh, refurbish, or make general improvements to existing community spaces;
• Commission professional or technical assistance to explore expansion opportunities;
• Scope out the feasibility and sustainability of new capital projects.
Councillor Tim Mitchell, Chair of Communities & Wellbeing Committee said: "This fund is about more than bricks and mortar—it's about investing in the people and places that make our communities thrive. We want to give local groups the tools they need to dream bigger, plan smarter, and deliver lasting impact. Whether it's a fresh coat of paint or a feasibility study for a new community hub, we're here to help make it happen."
Applications are now open and will close on September 26. Full guidance and application forms can be accessed here. For further details, contact Community Services at [email protected] or call 028 9244 7713.
