Unplanned Water Restrictions For Moynalty And Nearby Areas

Uisce Éireann has announced an unplanned water restriction to allow the Moynalty Water Treatment Plant to replenish following a borehole pump issue.

Customers in Moynalty and surrounding areas may experience supply interruptions or low pressure until 3pm on Thursday, 20 November. An alternative water supply is available at the Moynalty National School car park (A82 YV20).

In general, normal service returns two to three hours after an outage, though it can take longer for properties on higher ground or at the end of the network. Some customers may notice discoloured water when supply resumes; running the cold kitchen tap for several minutes (up to 20 minutes) usually clears the colour.
