Traffic restrictions will be in place on the Ormeau Road, Belfast, as NI Water installs a new sewer connection to support a forthcoming development.
NI Water will carry out the works between Raby Street and St Judes Parade from Saturday 4 July to Thursday 9 July 2026.
From 7am on Saturday 4 July until 6am on Monday 6 July, a one-way road closure will operate city-bound from the junction of Sunnyside Street to Haywood Avenue. During this period, lane two (country-bound) will also be closed.
From Monday 6 July to Thursday 9 July, lane one (city-bound) will be closed between Sunnyside Street and Haywood Avenue.
Traffic management will be in place throughout, with detailed diversion signage. The main diversion routes are via Ravenhill Road, Ormeau Embankment and the Ormeau Road.
NI Water has liaised with stakeholders, including Translink, regarding transport services, and thanks the public in advance for their patience and cooperation while this essential work is completed. The team will do everything possible to finish the job as quickly as possible.
