Emergency repair works have successfully been completed on a significant burst water main in Kilkenny.
Crews from Uisce Éireann rectified the issue after the burst, which occurred on Sunday, July 20, impacted homes and businesses in Troyswood, Thornback, Threecastles, Freshford and surrounding areas.
Crews mobilised quickly and began repair works, which continued into yesterday (July 21) to ensure full restoration of supply. Water supply has now returned to all affected customers.
Shane Aylward, Water Network Operations Lead, Uisce Éireann, said: "Our crews responded rapidly to the burst on Sunday and worked throughout the day and into today to carry out the necessary repairs. We know how disruptive unplanned outages can be, and we want to thank all affected customers for their patience and understanding while we worked to restore supply as quickly and safely as possible."
