More than 70 new graduates have joined ESB as part of its Graduate Development Programme, beginning their careers on projects that support the company's delivery of major infrastructure and its wider Net Zero by 2040 strategy.
This year's intake includes 73 Irish and international graduates from engineering, IT, HR, commercial, marketing and finance disciplines. Each graduate will be involved in practical assignments and large-scale projects across ESB, gaining experience that reflects the breadth of the organisation's work.
At induction, ESB Chief Executive Paddy Hayes welcomed the graduates, who will each be supported with mentoring within their business unit, as well as IT equipment and access to hybrid working. The programme is designed to build technical expertise while also supporting personal and professional development.
Sinéad Kilkelly, ESB's Executive Director of People & Organisation Development, said: "At ESB, our graduate programme places a strong emphasis on both professional and personal growth. These graduates have the opportunity to make an impact within the organisation and play their part as we work towards achieving our Net Zero by 2040 target. We look forward to supporting them throughout their journey at ESB and wish them every success as they begin their careers with us."
Applications for the 2026 Graduate Development Programme will open on Monday, September 22. Final-year and post-graduate students can apply via the ESB website at www.esb.ie/careers.
