Coffey has refreshed its car fleet as part of a broader effort to operate more efficiently, support its people and reduce environmental impact.
As the business grows across Ireland and the UK, the company is prioritising everyday decisions that deliver practical benefits. Managing its fleet is a central focus of this approach.
Five SEAT Leon cars and four Volkswagen Golfs, supplied by Monaghans Galway and Trinity Motors, have been added to provide safe, reliable and economical transport for teams travelling between projects.
Coffey describes the move as a tangible step it can take now, while electrification remains a key element of its longer-term low-carbon transport strategy.
An internal assessment indicates the upgrade could lower diesel consumption by around 900 litres per year, avoiding an estimated 2.4 tonnes of CO2 annually. The company will track real-world performance to validate these projections over time.
Coffey says the initiative is about more than adding nine vehicles; it reflects a continual drive to improve how work is done.
The company frames the change as a practical example of its Do it Better value, seeking safer, smarter and more efficient ways of working as it expands.
Coffey thanked its Plant Department, Monaghans and Trinity Motors for helping to deliver the upgrade.
