Bringing Precision Agriculture To Irish Farms

Construction News Image

Drone as a Service is bringing a new level of precision to Irish agriculture with our newly licensed Precision Spreading and Spraying service.

Using GPS-guided drones, we can accurately distribute fertiliser, seed and pellets across agricultural land, providing a practical alternative where traditional machinery may be difficult to use.

Drones follow precisely programmed flight paths, allowing applications to be targeted to specific areas and helping farmers make better use of their inputs. Variable-rate technology supports accurate application, while every operation can be tracked and logged for traceability and compliance.

One of the biggest advantages is access. Drones can operate across wet, uneven or difficult ground where tractors and heavy machinery may struggle, helping reduce soil compaction and allowing work to continue in challenging conditions. They can also reach areas where conventional equipment may be impractical, giving farmers greater flexibility when timing applications.

This service forms part of our wider agricultural offering. Our Crop Health Monitoring uses multispectral and thermal imaging to identify issues such as nitrogen deficiency, water stress and poor crop performance. Grassland Management monitors biomass, sward height and grass yields, while livestock monitoring and aerial farm maintenance inspections provide further insight across the farm.

By combining aerial intelligence with precision application, Drone as a Service is helping Irish farmers improve efficiency, reduce costs and make more informed decisions throughout the growing season.
