Energy suppliers are being urged to drop their electricity prices.
SDLP Spokesperson for Enterprise, Trade & Investment MLA said that while heating fuel prices have fallen, no similar decrease in price has been seen in the price of electricity.
Mr McGlone said: "It seems that when market prices are high, energy providers have no problem passing the cost onto the consumer, but when savings are to be made prices stay inflated.
"This dip in market prices should have acted as a vital windfall during winter months for those struggling with the cost of living. Even a token decrease during the months where electricity consumption is highest would have helped to rebuild trust between energy providers and the public."
