Sinn Féin Leader Gerry Adams TD has hit out at Fianna Fáil and said the party likes to give the impression that it is opposed to Water Charges and to Irish Water however this is a "charade".
Mr Adams said Micheál Martin provided people with a timely reminder that Fianna Fáil is a pro-Water Charges party.
Mr Martin told RTÉ radio this morning that Fianna Fáil agreed with domestic water charges as a "basic principle".
Mr Adams said: "Domestic Water Charges was a Fianna Fáil idea in the first place and was provided for in the last Fianna Fáil-led Government's negotiations with the Troika.
"It is clear from Micheál Martin's statement today that a vote for Fianna Fáil at the next election will also be a vote for the imposition of unjust and unfair domestic Water Charges."
