XL Catlin Makes Promotions To UK & Ireland Energy Team

XL Catlin has confirmed it has made promotions within its UK & Ireland energy team.

Stephen Hawkins has been promoted to Global Product Head for Upstream Energy and Luis Prato takes on the role of Regional Product Leader for the UK and Ireland.

Additionally Peter Welton has been promoted to Senior Underwriter for Downstream Energy & Power and Laura Mobbs takes up the position of Upstream Class Underwriter.

Huw Jones, who was appointed Global Head of Energy at XL Catlin in 2015, said: "I am extremely pleased to be starting 2016 with such a strong team in place. I believe we are ideally positioned to best meet the demands of our clients in this rapidly evolving environment."

Commenting on the UK & Ireland team, Andrew McMellin said: "Today XL Catlin insures over 90% of the FTSE 100, making us a key supporter of UK plc. It also provides insurance cover for SMEs, which in 2014 employed over 60% of the UK workforce bringing £1,647 bn to the UK economy.
