Energy Firm Restores Power In Inis Meáin And Inis Oírr

Power has been restored to over 370 ESB customers living in Inis Meáin and Inis Oírr.

Two generators have been connected to the islands electricity system following a fault on a subsea cable.

Following a detailed examination of the cable damage and the seabed conditions, engineers from ESB Networks and ESB International will make a decision on the best overall method of completing the repair.
