Connswater Community Greenway in east Belfast is to officially open on Friday, 08 September.
Belfast City Council is hosting 10 days of free events to encourage the community and visitors to enjoy its many environmental and health attractions.
Walks, runs, a teddy bear picnic, storytelling, crafts and music are among the activities which begin on Friday, with a stakeholders forum hosted at Eastside Visitors' Centre.
The emphasis is on fun and encouraging active involvement by locals and visitors and encompasses all areas of the greenway including, Victoria and Orangefield Parks, and nearby amenities such as Avoniel Leisure Centre and Holywood Arches Library.
The celebration highlights the attractions and benefits that the Connswater Community Greenway is providing for the whole of Belfast now that the £40 million, 10-year project has been completed.
