Contractors are to begin construction work on a carriageway resurfacing scheme in Newry on Monday, 08 January.
The work on the £252,000 Hospital Road scheme will enhance both the structural integrity and surface of the road.
Work is expected to take approximately eight weeks to complete.
The resurfacing works extend a distance of approximately 500m from Monaghan Street Roundabout to the main hospital entrance.
A temporary one-way system, from Carnagat Road to Monaghan Street, will operate for the duration of the works and on-street parking will be temporarily restricted.
Traffic will be diverted via Camlough Road and Carnagat Road. Diversionary routes will be signed and local access for residents will be maintained at all times during the works.
