Sinn Féin Housing spokesperson, Eoin Ó Broin TD, has urged the Housing Minister to publish the May homeless report this week without manipulating the figures.
He said: "I hope for the third month in a row the Minister will not manipulate the figures without providing us with any evidence as to why he is removing adults and children from the official figures.
"The Department of Housing cannot continue to edit the figures due to alleged miscategorisations without providing us with any hard evidence as to why Minister Murphy felt the need to do so."
Deputy Ó Broin is to address homeless experts at the Committee on Thursday, 28 June, on the miscategorisations in previous homeless reports.
He added: "If the Minister is making moves to change the definition of homelessness in order to reduce the monthly figures then he must outline this to the Housing Committee so he can be robustly challenged."
