The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Northern Ireland has commenced a search for new Board members.
The Department for Education will advertise an open competition to recruit 12 new members on 26 and 27 August 2021 in the three main local papers. There are five employer, five employee and two educational member posts. The process involves an application form and interview process.
Appointments are made on merit and applications are welcome from all sections of society.
The appointments will be made in tranches between December 2021 and June 2022 and the posts attract remuneration of £77.50 for under four hours per day and £155.00 for over four hours per day. The CITB (NI) Board normally meets six times a year and as a member you will be expected to participate in sub-committees and attend events. The estimated total time commitment is approximately 15 days per year.
It is important that people from a wide range of backgrounds take up public appointments so that the Boards of public bodies reflect the rich diversity of our society and better understand the needs of the communities they serve.
Applications from women, young people, people with a disability and those from ethnic minority communities would be particularly welcome.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 17 September 2021.
