Wienerberger UK & Ireland Acquires MFP Sales Ltd

Wienerberger UK & Ireland has announced the acquisition of MFP Sales Ltd, a long-standing producer of high-quality piping solutions for the construction sector in Ireland and the UK.

Founded in 1967 and formerly owned by Grafton Group plc, MFP Sales Ltd specialises in manufacturing drainage, roofline, and cable ducting systems. With production facilities in Dublin and a distribution base in Belfast, the company serves a broad customer base including the construction industry, public utilities, and local authorities.

The acquisition will see MFP's operations integrated into Pipelife Ireland, a subsidiary of Wienerberger, creating enhanced synergies in piping and drainage solutions. It follows Wienerberger’s 2021 acquisition of Cork Plastics, which expanded its product range to include rainwater, roofline, and drainage products. These strategic moves are part of a wider commitment to the Irish market, backed by a €35 million regional investment.

The deal aligns with Wienerberger’s broader growth strategy to provide a complete range of building envelope solutions — including wall, roof, heating, and water management systems — supported by strong technical services and customer support.

"Pipelife is at a pivotal point. After 55 years in the business, acquiring MFP Sales is a major milestone that expands our product range and strengthens our market position. Our focus is on smooth integration to ensure we capture full benefits while maintaining service and quality. As we integrate MFP, expand our portfolio, and lead in sustainability and innovation, I’m confident in Pipelife's bright future as part of the wider wienerberger family," said Conor Manning, Managing Director at Pipelife Ireland.
