Tipperary County Council has announced the upcoming temporary closure of the R-697 at the XL156 Level Crossing at the Cregg Road, Carrick-on-Suir, to facilitate improvements to the railway crossing.
The closure will occure from 8.30am on Saturday, July 12, to 5pm on Tuesday, July 15, with alternative routes set to be put in place.
Traffic travelling in the southbound direction will be diverted via the L-2607 at Cregg, turning left onto the L-2605-2.
Traffic travelling the northbound direction will be diverted via the L-2601 at Poulmaleen, then turning left onto the R-696.
