Water supply is gradually returning to customers in north Dublin following the completion of complex repair works on a third burst along a major trunk water main, Uisce Éireann has confirmed.
The latest burst caused localised disruption to homes and businesses in the area, prompting emergency works by water network crews through the night.
Tselopile Tlou, Water Network Operations Manager with Uisce Éireann, said: "We wish to thank customers in the area for their patience while crews worked overnight to repair the burst. Water is now returning to all customers, and we would ask customers in the impacted areas to be mindful that it may take longer for normal supply to be fully restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges."
Uisce Éireann said that while supply is being restored, customers at the extremities of the network and in elevated locations may continue to experience lower pressure or intermittent service as the system refills.
