Construction work has officially begun on a major £15 million expansion project by Lisburn-based PRM Group, one of Ireland's leading chilled and frozen food sales, distribution and logistics businesses.

The family-owned company has broken ground on a new purpose-built facility at Moira Road in Lisburn, marking a significant milestone in its long-term growth strategy. PRM Group distributes household brands including Muller, Ferrero, Fage, Nomadic, Biotiful and GU to retailers across the island of Ireland and Great Britain.

The development is expected to create 40 new jobs during its initial phase of operation, with further employment opportunities anticipated as the site reaches full capacity. The construction programme is also expected to support jobs across the local construction sector throughout the duration of the build.

The new facility will be located adjacent to PRM Group's existing headquarters and is designed to support growing demand from customers and supplier partners across Ireland, Great Britain and Europe.

Once completed, the development will deliver more than 100,000 square feet of additional warehousing space, significantly increasing the company’s operational capacity. Plans include tripling the number of loading bays and substantially expanding pallet storage capability.

The site will also feature modern office accommodation, dedicated spaces for innovation and product development, and sustainability-focused infrastructure incorporating energy-efficient systems and environmentally responsible design principles.
