Belfast Grand Central Station, delivered by the Farrans Sacyr joint venture, has received further industry recognition at the RICS Northern Ireland Awards.
Commissioned by Translink, the scheme was shortlisted in three categories: Community Benefit, Public Sector and Infrastructure. While Community Benefit and Public Sector were judged at regional level, the Infrastructure category proceeds directly to national judging.
On the night, the project won the Community Benefit Award, acknowledging its sustained positive impact on local people through social value initiatives, engagement and legacy programmes.
It also secured the ceremony's highest honour, being named Overall Project Winner for Northern Ireland, highlighting the collaboration, innovation and delivery demonstrated throughout the scheme.
As a result of its regional success, Belfast Grand Central Station will represent Northern Ireland at the RICS National Awards in October and remains in contention for the National Infrastructure Award.
These accolades recognise the contribution of Farrans Sacyr, Translink and the wider project team, reflecting a commitment to world‑class infrastructure that delivers lasting benefits for communities across Northern Ireland.
Pictured at the ceremony are Matt Stalford, FSJV Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyor; Louise Sterritt, Translink Project Manager; and Sara Neilson, Farrans Community Engagement and PR Manager, alongside the RICS Chair and one of the competition judges, celebrating the two regional award wins.
