An Irish midlands timber frame firm has been awarded membership of a new quality standard.
Future Structures is now part of the NSAI Quality Approval Scheme for Timber Frame Manufacturers.
The NSAI's assessment and subsequent inspections, verify compliance with the scheme requirements, ensuring that timber frame homes are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) is the leading certification body in Ireland and has been providing a wide range of services for over 30 years.
NSAI is accredited in Ireland by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) and is a member of IQNET (International Certification Network) and can issue certificates which have global recognition.
The NSAI also offers a quality inspection service. This scheme is offered to local authorities and large developers using timber frame housing.
It provides for regular site inspections in which all timber frame houses are inspected for compliance with design requirements, site instructions and against a detailed and comprehensive checklist.
The scheme includes all of the items addressed in the local authority housing service including a paint testing service. Reports and recommendations are issued to the project architect on all inspection results.
