A new €3m school has been opened in Co Kerry.
Holy Family National School in Rathmore is an amalgamation of two schools - Convent National School and St Josephs Boys' National School.
Speaking at the opening, Education Minister Batt O'Keeffe said: "I'm delighted to open this new school for over 200 students.
"The eight-classroom school has a general purpose room, library, staff room, multi-purpose room, learning support room, storage rooms, general office and principal's office."
The Department of Education contributed €2.8m towards the project, with over €80,000 raised locally.
Minister O'Keeffe also announced new water conservation measures under next year’s Summer Works Scheme at the school.
The scheme will help schools to cover metered water costs from January when they will have to pay according to how much they use.
