Proposals have been put forward for an expansive new multi-purpose community centre in Ballyogan, Dublin.
Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council said the planned Samuel Beckett Civic Campus would house several amenities.
Plans include provisions for a new community building and regional library.
The council also hopes to construct a six lane swimming pool, a multi purpose sports building, a gymnasium, four synthetic pitches and three grass pitches.
Proposals for a childrens' playground, skatepark and a two storey car park are also included in the plans.
A civic plaza and landscaped areas with pedestrian paths are encompassed in the designs.
Plans and particulars of the proposals are available for inspection from the council's planning department from today.
"Submissions or observations with respect to the proposal, and dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the development is situated, may be made in writing on or before 7 January 2010," said a council spokesman.
