New Roundabout For Murphystown

Plans have been published detailing a number of road works in the Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council area.

The works are proposed as part of the Murphystown Parallel Road Scheme.

Improvement will see the replacement of the existing Murphystown / M50 roundabout by a signalized T-junction.

This will take place at the junction of Leopardstown Road / Murphystown Road/ M50 Bridge with a signalized T-Junction.

New footpaths are to be constructed, as well as new cycle tracks, pedestrian crossing, general landscaping, public lighting, road drainage and signage.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development, including a summary report, are available for inspection from today at the Planning Department in County Hall, Dún Laoghaire.

"Submissions or observations regarding the proposal may be made in writing on or before Friday 15 January 2010," a council spokeswoman said.
