A housing estate in Co Kerry has been recognised at the annual Pride of Place Awards, which took place in Co Down last week.
Iveragh Park, in Killorglin, was one of three Kerry finalists in the awards.
The estate won top prize in the Housing Estates Category, rewarding the hard work the local community has put in over the years.
Portmagee was runner-up in the Small Community Category, while Glenbeigh was shortlisted in their category,
According to Peter Sheridan, Chief Executive of Co-operation Ireland, the awards "are an indication of the flourishing community spirit there is around the island of Ireland".
"It is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate those within our community who do so much but who rarely get the recognition they deserve," he said.
Mayor of Kerry, Bobby O'Connell congratulated the Iveragh Park Estate.
"It is a deserved award for a community who has put in a major effort to make their estate a better place to live, and who have helped so many people along the way," said the mayor.
"Through our Kerry Community Awards, Iveragh Park, Portmagee and Glenbeigh were chosen to represent Kerry at the Pride of Place Awards and they have shown the very best of Kerry people working in their community, for their community."
