A new Dart service employed in a Co Wicklow town has drastically improved local infrastructure, it has been reported.
Trains from Greystones now depart on the hour and half-hour in a move that has significantly benefited access into and out of the town, reports the Bray People.
"It was clear to me during the local elections that public transport was a major concern to the people of Greystones," said local councillor, James O'Sullivan.
"It's great to see that this long overdue improved DART service has finally been delivered. No longer will commuters be forced to wait for excessive amounts of time when travelling by DART. This new DART timetable will be hugely beneficial to the people of Greystones."
Councillor Simon Harris added: "This has significantly increased the DART services from out town and should help commuters going to work, school and college.
"With this new timetable now taking effect the people of this locality will benefit from a much improved frequency which will see 13 trains between DART and commuter trains leave Greystones between the hours of 6am and 10.30am."
