SDLP Councillor Brian Heading has called on the NI Housing Executive to release information regarding a delay in the development of social housing in West Belfast.
He said: "I would urge the Housing Executive to explain why the development of 37 new social houses has been delayed.
"A court case in relation to the development site was resolved in 2007 but construction has yet to begin on the new houses.
"Due to the shortage of social housing in the area, these new homes are urgently required."
He continued: "As a result of the delay, 37 families have been deprived of appropriate housing for over two years.
"I would encourage the Housing Executive to explain the delay in construction at Lagmore Phase 7 and resolve this important issue."
