SDLP West Tyrone Westminster Candidate Joe Byrne has welcomed the £7million office development in the Great Northern Business Park, Omagh.

Speaking at the launch of the project, Mr Byrne said: "This is a very positive development and a sign that some private sector investment companies like Herron Brothers are willing to invest in capital build projects at this time.

"This development offers Omagh a golden opportunity to attract inward investment projects, or a decentralised government office.

"This is an office building designed to meet modern standards and needs. It has on site car parking situated beside the main A5 road. This investment is good for Omagh, and good for the business community because it provides a degree of confidence about the town’s potential to attract private sector investment."

He continued: "These state-of-the-art premises will provide excellent accommodation for several hundred staff in the area and increase job prospects for the people of West Tyrone."
