A €1.65m footbridge in Ballina, Co Mayo has finally been given a name – six months after it was officially opened.
Ballina Town Council has opted to call the structure the Salmon Weir bridge following a vote, reports the Mayo Advertiser.
Despite the bridge opening last October, the council has been unable to agree upon a name until now.
