Co Antrim building contractors have been disappointed this week by news that a project to construct a new hotel in the area has been stymied.
Planners have rejected an application to build what was described as a boutique hotel in Ballymoney, according to a newspaper report.
Cedar Lodge Ltd made the application for a 20-room hotel on the site of the old Cooleen Restaurant in the Co Antrim town, the Ballymoney Chronicle reports.
The site has been sitting derelict for a number of years and has been targeted by vandals.
A number of Ballymoney councillors have expressed disappointment at the decision, the report added.
